I Liq Chuan in Malaysia

I was in Malaysia last weekend for my daughter's skating competition and had an opportunity to meet up with Sifu Sam Chin and his father Grandmaster Chin Lik Keong at their home in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. Although it was a relatively short meeting, I was able to get some personal instruction and touch hands with the Grandmaster, who is a youngish 84 years old. His other son Rodney Chin was also at the house.

Grandmaster Chin still teaches 5 mornings a week at the badminton stadium in Cheras, and although he has been sidelined by diabetes in recent years, he was still very dynamic and managed to pull me off balance rather easily. His complaint is that my touch hands is still too hard and would like me foster more of a sense of relaxation. (Which I know but is really hard to do!). 

Anyhow it was very pleasant to visit them and it reminded me very much of my own relatives in Malaysia. I hope to be able to go back again soon. Master Sam Chin would also like me to see if I can help arrange a seminar in Hong Kong in the future.
