April is not the cruelest month, but it does seem to be Buddhism month on my blog. I was trawling the internet and found this amusing picture from an old Captain America comic book cover. It is not too different from the portrayal of the Middle East and Islam in some movies in present day America, but is quite amusing none the less. Of course, the enemy at that time were the "evil" Japanese.
Please also note the sharp teeth on the parody of the Buddha in Kamakura, the Fu Manchu mustache and yellow skin of the villain (must have a terrible case of jaunice) and the unintelligible Chinese characters (quite similar to some of the tattoos that some sportsmen have, I must say!).
