BLU-e™ Level II (Advanced Aspects) - April 21-22

A follow on post from the first seminar in August of last year, I completed the second level of the Blu-e training last weekend and am using my blog as a means to organize my thoughts and to digest the results. The first level of the Blu-e was focused more on healing and working with earth energies and Qi, and this seminar built on that foundation while including more work with higher energies and psychic development.

It also had the additional benefit of merging the participants with another Level I group, who had previous experience in Qigong and were massage therapists by training, so we were able to share in their experiences. They had reported good results with their clients. (They said that their clients were more likely to fall asleep during the massage if they performed Blu-e on them and some of them had notably released their negative emotions and stress through burping or retching.) Wayne was also in the process of developing a form of Blu-e massage for them.

I had written in my previous post that Blu-e had enhanced my energetic levels and allowed me to achieve a Qi state faster than just using normal Qigong / zhan zhuang and this was borne out by some of the other practitioners who also had Qigong training. Indeed some people with no Qigong experience were able to experience the magnetic feeling in between their hands in their first session, when it had taken me a couple of months when I first started learning Taichi many years ago. (However I would caveat this the Qi achieved from a regular practice of Qigong seems to me to be of a lower vibration, earthier and the persists longer - so there may be different levels / frequencies of Qi.) This time in level two we were shown how to achieve deeper meditative states in order to better access the energy. Comparing some of my training in meditation, these methods allowed me to 入定 or achieve a state of absorption much faster than the usual sitting meditation, bypassing the many hours of training the  "monkey mind" that would normally take place in a meditation retreat. This allowed us to perform what is termed "soul-healing" which definitely felt much stronger than level I.  This being said, I still have difficulty sustaining the deep state for long period of time, but this should come with practice.  Also there are also many different kinds or levels of meditative state and I do not have sufficient experience or training to be able to identify or differentiate the Blu-e state from others.

We were also shown how to use the Grid and timelines, that is to intuitively feel which part of the patient was not in balance and experiencing problems, and whether this was on a physical, mental, or emotional level, as well as if it was influenced by the past, present or future (?) situation. There were also exercises to train our intuition, to read peoples personalities and emotions in order to provide a comprehensive assessment of their situation. Wayne also emphasized that talking with the patients was a form of healing.

On the second day we continued with some additional healing exercises (including 2 on 1 healing, somewhat akin to four hands massage) and also received a Qi empowerment 灌氣 which allowed to be more open to sensing the emotions of the patients in ourselves.

So all in all there was a lot of material to digest, and like all things one has to make the material "yours" in some way and develop your own emphasis and style and I am doing my best to square this training with my own martial arts and Buddhist meditation training. It was very interesting to talk with Wayne regarding the differences that he sees in the various Blu-e groups across the world. Here in Asia we have a more developed understanding of Qi, and some of the physical manifestations and healing because it is an integral part of the culture whereas in Europe there is a better understanding of the spirit world, channeling and medium ship based on much of the work done in the early half of the twentieth century when the occult and the Theosophical society were very fashionable. Here in Asia we tend to downplay this aspect as we think that 邪門 dirty or dangerous to traffic with spirits. He has very much set out to try and merge the two Eastern and Western approaches in the Blu-e method.

There will be additional Blu-e shares on a monthly basis and I will definitely be very interested to see how it all continues to progress. It is interesting that my level of skepticism has continued to abate, but I continue to retain a certain level of it so as to be able to view things objectively, to the extent that I can. BTW my regular readers may have noted that I have stopped complaining about my back and I am pleased to report that it is about 90% back to normal.
